FROM BEGINNER TO ADVANCED IN ONE EASY STEP.
This A-Maze Board is the ultimate balance device for all your rehabilitation needs as it combines fine motor and gross motor skills, with cognitive function and all at your choice of 3 height adjustable levels.
Balance boards are used widely by health and fitness professionals for a variety of applications, in particular, it is used after soft tissue injuries, falls and surgery.
It is a versatile tool to assist with balance, functional rehabilitation training, core stability, co-ordination, proprioception and lower limb & ankle strengthening.
After injury, neuromuscular retraining is an important component of your rehabilitation. Proprioception describes the nerve impulses from joints, muscles,
tendons & soft tissues relaying information to the brain. This information tells your brain about its position, motion, vibration and pressure. In acute and overuse
soft tissue injuries, these receptors are damaged and this may result long term problems. Poor proprioception is a common symptom after lower limb injuries, and when early neuromuscular training is undertaken, you significantly reduce the rate of re-injury.
The textured surface allows a safer grip and non-slip functionality. It can be used in conjunction with other training aids such as – latex band or tubing; dumbbells; free weights; medicine balls and so on.
Increase your confidence by developing a good sense of balance. You will enjoy improved stability and mobility which can help prevent falls and injuries. Incorporate balance training into your daily routine and feel the difference.
PhysiPod’s A-Maze Board is a fabulous and fun addition to your rehabilitation.
TO USE :
- To begin with, stand on the balance board with both feet apart and tilt in any direction, without letting the board tilt so far that its edge touches the ground.
The A-Maze board also has an in-built challenge where you have to move a ball through a maze to the centre and back out again. This challenge involves the
brain, coordination and strength.
- Use without the adjustable base to begin with, until you have mastered this level. Then place the purple base underneath the balance board and slide the slotted section onto the struts. The deepest slots equate to the middle level of difficulty and the shortest slotted section equates to the most difficult level.
- To increase the difficulty further, you can add on squats, single leg work, latex band strengthening, dumbbells, upper limb work etc. (You may also refer to our website, for our YouTube video on how to use balance boards).
